Abstract


Al-Qurtubi is one of the commentators who gets a lot of attention from people who are involved in the study of the Qur'an and Tafsir, both academics and non-academic scholars. One of the monumental works of al-Qurtubi is the book of interpretation of al-Jami' li Ahkam al-Qur'an which describes at length the verses of the Qur'an, especially the substance contained in the verses of the Qur'an. In writing, al-Qurtubi presents language studies to draw the meaning and legal content of each verse, especially legal verses and then tries to confirm the opinions of previous scholars, both in terms of fiqh and theology.
