The Effect of Work Motivation and Job Satisfaction on the Performance of Marketing Department Employees at Company X

Employee performance is one of the key factors in achieving organizational goals, including for companies in the furniture industry. Employee performance, particularly within the Marketing department, plays a vital role in aiding in the accomplishment of organizational objectives and sales targets. Experts claim that among the elements influencing employe performance are job satisfaction and work motivation. The inability to reach sales goals, however, indicates that Company X's marketing department staff is still not performing at their best. The purpose of this study is to ascertain how employes at Company X's marketing department perform in relation to work motivation and job satisfaction. Using quantitative descriptive analysis and quantitative associative analysis, this study takes a quantitative approach. The study’s respondents were all employees in the Marketing department. Data were collected through observation, documentation, and a questionnaire using a semantic differential scale, and were then analyzed using multiple linear regression, the coefficient of determination, and hypothesis testing with the aid of SPSS version 24. The results of this study indicate that, individually, work motivation and job satisfaction have a positive effect on employee performance. In addition, work motivation and job satisfaction also have a simultaneous effect on employee performance, with a fairly significant level of influence. The results of this study suggest that increasing work motivation and job satisfaction can serve as a strategy for companies to improve the performance of their marketing department employees.
