Abstract

Despite having received Direct Cash Assistance from Village Funds (BLT-DD), the poor in Labuan Induk Village, Labuan District, Donggala Regency still face limitations in meeting their daily needs, with household expenditure still dominated by food needs. This study aims to analyze the relationship between Direct Cash Assistance from Village Funds and community welfare in Labuan Induk Village. The study used a quantitative approach with a survey method of 30 respondents, namely all Direct Cash Assistance Village Funds recipients in the village. Data was collected through an online questionnaire and analyzed using the Spearman Rank correlation test as a non-parametric approach. The results showed that there was a significant positive relationship between Direct Cash Assistance Village Funds and community welfare (Spearman correlation coefficient = 0.335; significance = 0.035 < 0.05). However, the strength of the relationship that is relatively weak indicates that assistance of Rp300,000 per month has not been able to make a meaningful change to the welfare of the community as a whole, considering that the average income of respondents is only Rp511,500 per month and the majority of recipients are elderly groups with limited economic productivity. This study recommends reviewing the amount of assistance to be more proportionate to the real needs of the community, increasing the accuracy of targets, and strengthening productive economic assistance for beneficiary groups.
