Publication Ethics and Malpractice Statement
DINAMIS Scientific Journal, with ISSN number 2622-3791 (print) and 2716-0904 (online), is a peer-reviewed journal published periodically (twice a year) in print and digital formats. Furthermore, this statement clarifies the expectations of ethical behavior for every individual and entity involved in publishing articles in it from authors to publishers (Faculty of Islamic Economics and Business, IAIN Palopo) based on ethical guidelines from COPE.
Journal Publication Ethics Guidelines
Publication of peer-reviewed scientific articles in DINAMIS Scientific Journalis a key pillar in the development of a structured and recognized scientific network. The quality of the articles directly reflects the quality of the research of the authors and their affiliated institutions. Since peer-reviewed articles strengthen the scientific method, agreement on good ethical standards is crucial for all parties involved in the publishing process.
As a publisher DINAMIS Journal, Faculty of Islamic Economics and Business IAIN Palopo pays close attention to every step in the publication process. We are fully aware of the ethical responsibilities and other aspects inherent in this publication. We promise that commercial considerations such as advertising, reprints, or other sources of income will not influence our editorial decisions.
Publication decision
As the final decision maker regarding article publication, Dinamis Scientific Journal Editormust ensure that each selected work has validity and clear importance to the scientific community and readers. In carrying out their duties, editors are guided by journal policies and are bound by legal regulations regarding libel, copyright infringement, and plagiarism. Discussion with other editors or reviewers may be part of the decision-making process.
Fair play
The editor's assessment of a manuscript is based on the quality of the thinking contained therein, without being influenced by personal characteristics of the author such as race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, national origin, or political ideology.
Confidentiality
As part of their professional responsibilities, editors and editorial staff must not disclose any information
regarding submitted manuscripts to anyone other than the author, reviewers, editorial advisers, and the
publisher.
Disclosure and conflict of interest
The contents of unpublished manuscripts may not be used by editors for their own research purposes
without written approval from the author.
Reviewer Duties
Contribution to Editorial Decisions As ispeer review, editors are helped in determining whether a work is worthy of publication, while the feedback given to authors during the editorial process can improve the quality of their articles.
Self-accuracy
If a referee who has been selected to review a manuscript realizes that he or she does not have sufficient
expertise to assess the research in it, or if he or she knows that he or she will be unable to carry out the
review in the near future, he or she should notify the editor and withdraw from the review process.
Confidentiality
As part of the review process, all manuscripts are treated as confidential documents and must not be
shown to or discussed with anyone except as authorized by the editor.
Standard of Objectivity
Objectivity is the cornerstone of the review process. Personal criticism of the author is inappropriate.
A reviewer has a responsibility to express his or her views explicitly along with supporting arguments.
Source Acknowledgement
A reviewer should look for relevant publications that the authors have overlooked in their citations. Any
claim that an observation, conclusion, or argument has been previously published should include the
appropriate citation. In addition, reviewers should call to the editor's attention any significant similarity or
overlap between the manuscript under consideration and any other published work of which they have
knowledge.
Disclosure and Conflict of Interest
Exclusive information or ideas revealed through the processpeer reviewconfidential and prohibited
from being used for personal gain. A reviewer is not permitted to evaluate a manuscript if there is a
conflict of interest resulting from a competitive, collaborative, or other affiliation relationship with any
author, corporate entity, or institution connected to the scientific work.
Author's Duties
Reporting standards
Original research reports should be written accurately, both in describing the research process and in
discussing its implications objectively. The data underlying the findings should be represented faithfully.
Detailed information and complete references are essential to ensure the research can be verified through replication by other researchers. Presenting false or inaccurate information is unethical
behavior and is unacceptable in research.
Originality and Plagiarism
To avoid plagiarism, authors must ensure that all ideas and words in their work are their own, or if not,
the source must be explicitly stated.
Multiple, Redundant or Concurrent Publication
An author has a responsibility not to duplicate publications of the same research in multiple journals
or primary publications. Submitting identical manuscripts to more than one journal at the same time
is an act that violates publishing ethics and is unacceptable in the scientific community.
Source Acknowledgement
Authors have a responsibility to acknowledge the contributions of others by giving them appropriate recognition. This means that publications that have played a significant role in shaping the character of the paper should be cited appropriately.
Authorship of the Paper
Significant contributions to the idea, design, execution, or interpretation of a study are essential to authorship. Individuals who have made significant contributions should be acknowledged as co-authors. Those involved in other substantive aspects of the research should be acknowledged by being acknowledged or listed as contributors. The responsible author ensures that the authorship is accurate, includes all authorized and unauthorised authors, and that all authors have seen and approved the final manuscript before submission.
Disclosure and Conflict of Interest
In the manuscript, an author should openly declare if there is any financial or other substantial conflict of interest that could potentially influence the conclusions or interpretation of the work. Information about all parties who provided financial support for the research project is also a must to be disclosed.
Fundamental errors in published works
As a form of responsibility, an author who finds errors or inaccurate information in his/her self published work is obliged to notify the journal editor or publisher without delay and cooperate to withdraw or correct the paper.
