Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of internet access and the socialization of Quick Response Code Indonesian Standard (QRIS) on the use of cashless payments, with adaptive capability as a moderating variable. The background of this research lies in the rapid digital transformation in payment systems, which has not been fully matched by public adoption rates. This study employs a quantitative approach, with data collected through questionnaires distributed to users of digital payment services. The results show that internet access and QRIS socialization have a positive and significant effect on the use of cashless payments. However, adaptive capability does not moderate the relationship between internet access and cashless payment usage. In contrast, adaptive capability strengthens the effect of QRIS socialization on cashless payment usage. These findings indicate that internet access alone is sufficient to encourage the use of digital payments without depending on individual adaptability, whereas educational efforts through socialization require adaptive capability to enhance their effectiveness. This study contributes to the literature on financial technology adoption and provides insights for improving digital financial literacy strategies.
