Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is 1,15-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  • If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.

Author Guidelines

Manuscript Presentation

The journal's languages is Indonesia and English language. Manuscripts should not exceed for qualitative studies 20 pages and for quantitative studies 15 pages of printed text, including references, tables, and figures. References should follow the Chicago Manual of Style 17th edition (full note, with ibid) in a footnote. Zotero or Mendeley usage is strongly recommended.

Accepted Papers

Download the template (valid since October 2019,Volume 7 Issue 2) with the following link and prepare your manuscript's final version. It is important to prepare your manuscript exactly in accordance with the instructions to prevent the waste of your time as well as the editors'.

Figures

All photographs, graphs, and diagrams should be referred to as a Figure and they should be numbered consecutively (1, 2, etc.). Multi-part figures ought to be labeled with lower case letters (a, b, etc.). Relatively small text and great variation in text sizes within figures should be avoided as figures are often reduced in size. Figures may be sized to fit approximately within the column(s) of the journal. Provide a detailed legend (without abbreviations) to each figure, refer to the figure in the text and note its approximate location in the margin.

Tables

Each table should be numbered consecutively. In tables, footnotes are preferable to long explanatory material in either the heading or body of the table. Such explanatory footnotes, identified by superscript letters, should be placed immediately below the table.

Manuscript submission

Manuscripts for consideration should be submitted via the online submission system https://ejournal.iainpalopo.ac.id/index.php/palita/index  The first-time authors need to register as Authors in the system to be able to submit their articles.

All authors must confirm the following before the submission of the manuscript:

All submitted manuscripts must be the work of the original author(s). We only accept the unpublished manuscript. If part of the data has been used in any other publication or presentation please inform the editor about this when submitting. It is unethical to submit a manuscript to more than one journal concurrently. There should be no conflict of interest if any it must be clearly stated. Authors should acknowledge the sources of data used in the preparation of the manuscript.

Copyright Notice

Authors who wish to publish and disseminate their papers with the Palita: Journal of Social Religion Research, shall agree to the publishing rights set by Palita: Journal of Social Religion Research . Authors understand that they shall assign publication rights as part of the process upon acceptance for publication. The authors agreed that they would transfer certain copyrights to Palita: Journal of Social Religion Research Consecutively, authors still retain some rights to use and share their own published articles without written permission from Palita: Journal of Social Religion Research.

 Authors granted Palita: Journal of Social Religion Research the following rights; (1) the right to publish and provide the manuscripts in all forms and media for publication and dissemination, (2) the authority to enforce the rights in the manuscript, for example in the case of plagiarism or in copyright infringement.

Palita: Journal of Social Religion Research will follow COPE's Code of Conduct and Best Practice Guidelines for Journal Editors to protect the research results and take allegations of any infringements, plagiarisms, ethical issues, and frauds should those issues arise. The manuscript is attributed as the authors' work, and is properly identified.
