ACCREDITATION

Authors must submit manuscripts through the online submission system of Palita: Journal of Social-Religion Research. First-time users must register for an account and select the Author role before submitting a manuscript.
Submitted manuscripts must constitute original scholarly work, must not have been published previously, and must not be under consideration by another journal. Authors must disclose relevant overlap with previously published work and inform the editor of any potential conflicts of interest.
Authors must prepare their manuscripts using the official Palita Template July 2026 and follow the formatting, structural, and referencing requirements outlined below.
Before submitting a manuscript, authors must ensure that all the following requirements have been met:
Submissions that do not meet these requirements may be returned to the authors for correction before entering the editorial review process.
Palita accepts manuscripts written in Indonesian or English. Authors must use the official Palita template, which specifies the required format for the title, author information, abstract, keywords, main text, tables, figures, and references.
Authors should retain the prescribed layout and remove all instructional text before submission. Manuscripts must be submitted as editable Microsoft Word documents.
The manuscript title should accurately represent the research topic and clearly communicate its central focus. Authors must provide their full names, institutional affiliations, countries, and the corresponding author's email address in accordance with the template. All author information must be accurate, and the corresponding author must be clearly identified.
Each manuscript must include an abstract in English and Indonesian. Each abstract must not exceed 250 words and should concisely describe the research problem, objectives, methods, and principal findings.
Authors must provide relevant keywords in both languages. Keywords may consist of individual terms or phrases that represent the main concepts, subject matter, and research focus. Authors should select specific and informative keywords that accurately reflect the manuscript's content.
Research articles should follow the structure established in the official Palita template.
Introduction
The introduction should establish the research background, identify the research problem, discuss relevant previous studies, and present the theoretical framework relevant to the topic. Authors should explain the research gap, the significance of the study, and its objectives.
Method
The method section should explain the research design and approach, population and sample or research participants, research instruments and data collection procedures, and data analysis techniques, as applicable to the study.
Authors should provide sufficient methodological detail to enable readers to understand and evaluate the research process.
Results and Discussion
This section should present the research findings and interpret their significance in relation to the research questions, relevant theories, and previous studies. Authors should distinguish the presentation of findings from their interpretation and support their arguments with appropriate scholarly sources.
Tables and figures may be included when they improve the clarity and presentation of the findings.
Conclusion
The conclusion should synthesise the principal findings in relation to the research objectives. Authors should identify the study's main contributions and provide recommendations grounded in the findings, including implications for practice, theoretical development, or future research where appropriate.
Acknowledgements (Optional)
Authors may acknowledge institutions, organisations, individuals, or funding bodies that contributed to or supported the research. Acknowledgements must accurately represent the assistance or support received.
References
The reference list must include all sources cited in the manuscript and follow APA 7th edition. Authors should verify the accuracy and completeness of bibliographic information and provide DOI or URL links where available.
Palita requires APA 7th edition for in-text citations and reference-list formatting. Authors must use the author-date citation system rather than Chicago-style full-note citations or the ibid. system.
Examples of in-text citations include:
Every source cited in the manuscript must appear in the reference list, and every reference-list entry must correspond to a source cited in the text.
Authors are strongly encouraged to use reference management software, such as Zotero or Mendeley, to improve citation accuracy and consistency.
Photographs, graphs, diagrams, and other visual materials must be identified as figures and numbered consecutively using Arabic numerals, such as Figure 1 and Figure 2. Multi-panel figures should identify individual panels with lowercase letters, such as (a) and (b).
Each figure must have a clear caption and must be cited in the main text. Authors should ensure that labels and text within figures remain legible at the intended publication size.
Authors must obtain permission to reproduce copyrighted visual materials where required and provide appropriate source acknowledgements.
Tables must be numbered consecutively and provided with clear, descriptive titles. Authors must refer to each table in the text and ensure that its contents are understandable without unnecessarily repeating information already presented in the manuscript.
Explanatory notes should appear immediately below the relevant table. Authors must identify sources when tables reproduce or adapt information from other publications.
Authors must submit manuscripts through the Palita online submission system. Authors who encounter technical difficulties may contact the editorial office at jurnalpalita@uinpalopo.ac.id.
All submissions undergo an initial editorial assessment to determine their relevance to the journal's focus and scope, compliance with the Author Guidelines, and suitability for peer review. Manuscripts that meet the initial requirements proceed through the journal's Peer Review Process.
Authors must follow the journal's procedures for anonymous review and ensure that identifying information is handled in accordance with the applicable review policy.
Where applicable, the editorial office sends a proof to the corresponding author for checking before publication. Authors should review the proof carefully and report typographical errors or production-related corrections within the specified period.
Proof corrections should be limited to necessary amendments. Substantial changes to the content or conclusions of an accepted manuscript require editorial approval.
Authors must ensure that their manuscripts constitute original scholarly work and accurately represent the research conducted. They must acknowledge the sources of data, ideas, quotations, and other materials used in preparing their manuscripts.
Simultaneous submission to more than one journal is not permitted. Authors must disclose any overlap with previously published material and declare all relevant conflicts of interest.
Authors are responsible for the accuracy of their findings, the integrity of their data, appropriate authorship attribution, and compliance with applicable research ethics requirements. Where relevant, authors should provide information concerning ethical approval, informed consent, and funding.
Authors who publish in Palita: Journal of Social-Religion Research retain copyright to their work and grant the journal the right of first publication.
