Perkembangan bahasa anak usia 6 tahun di TK Paramata Bunda Kota Palopo mengalami gangguan bicara (speech delay). Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui strategi guru dan orang tua dalam menangani anak yang mengalami gangguan keterlambatan berbicara (speech delay). Pendekatan penelitian ini melalui pendekatan kualitatif study kasus. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan ciri-ciri belum mampu memahami dan merespon teman sebaya, orang tua atau orang dewasa sekitarnya, cenderung tidak banyak berbicara (pendiam), tidak mampu membentuk kalimat sederhana, ketika ditanya sesuatu anak tersebut menyebutkan kembali pertanyaan itu, belum mampu berbicara dengan jelas, kaku, terbata-bata karena kurangnya penguasaan kosa kata yang dimiliki, serta biasanya penggunaan bahasa yang ditunjukkan dengan bingung dalam mengekspresikan bahasa dalam bentuk lisan.Untuk itu dilakukan penanganan straregi untuk menstimulus anak speach delay dengan 1)melatih anak dalam berbicara dengan benar, pelan-pelan dan berulang-ulang, 2)saat berbicara selalu memperhatikan tata bahasa yang diucapkan, 3)melibatkan anak-anak berbicara pada setiap keadaan dengan mengontrol dan memperbaiki pengucapan anak yang masih keliru dan menggunakan sistem several, seperti konsultasi rutin untuk mengetahui perkembangan anak pada dokter dan psikolog anak.References
