Journal History

The Journal of Indonesian Islamic Studies began its publishing journey in 2021 with the release of Volume 1, Issue 1. This journal, which focuses on Indonesian Islamic Studies, is published biannually in October and April. The Editorial Team of Journal of Indonesian Islamic Studies enthusiastically invites researchers, academics, professionals, and practitioners from around the world to submit their manuscripts.

In 2023, Journal of Indonesian Islamic Studies underwent a significant upgrade by transitioning its management system from Open Journal Systems (OJS) version 2 to version 3. This upgrade affected several journal page links and its overall appearance. The primary aim of this upgrade was to enhance accessibility and efficiency in journal management, thereby providing a better experience for both authors and readers.

Additionally, starting with Vol. 4, No. 1 (2024), Journal of Indonesian Islamic Studies has increased the number of articles published, now featuring a total of 7 articles per issue.
