Retraction and Correction Policy

Policy Statement

The Journal of Tunas Cendekia acknowledges that authors invest significant effort in preparing manuscripts and following peer-review processes. However, published articles may be subject to correction, retraction, withdrawal, or replacement when ethical or scientific issues are identified.

The journal is committed to maintaining the integrity, accuracy, and reliability of the scientific record in accordance with best publishing practices and COPE guidelines.

Article Retraction

Retraction may occur if an article is found to involve ethical or scientific misconduct, including plagiarism, duplicate submission, false authorship, data fabrication, or similar violations.

Retraction procedures may include:
• A retraction notice displayed on the article page
• Watermarking the PDF as “Retracted”
• Removal of HTML content where necessary

The Editor will follow COPE guidelines and consult the Editorial Board before making a final decision. A retraction notice will be published and linked to the original article record.

Article Withdrawal

Withdrawal may occur in cases such as duplicate submission, accidental double posting, or ethical violations identified before or shortly after publication. Authors may also request withdrawal with an official statement to the editorial board.

Article Correction

Corrections may be issued when:
• Minor errors affect data accuracy or interpretation
• Authorship changes are required

Types of corrections include:
1. Erratum (publisher error)
2. Corrigendum (author error)
3. Addendum (additional explanation or update)

The final decision on issuing corrections is made by the Editor after evaluation and consultation when necessary.

Article Removal (Legal Reasons)

In rare cases, articles may be removed due to legal issues such as defamation, copyright infringement, court orders, or threats to national security. Metadata will be retained, but content will be replaced with a removal notice.

Article Replacement

In cases where corrected research is necessary, the original article may be retracted and replaced with an updated version, with full documentation of changes and history.
