Meningkatkan Kemampuan Mengenal Lambang Bilangan melalui Balok Cuisenaire pada Disabilitas Intelektual Ringan

Pembelajaran matematika pada peserta didik disabilitas intelektual ringan masih menghadapi kendala, khususnya dalam mengenal lambang bilangan, akibat keterbatasan kemampuan berpikir abstrak dan minimnya penggunaan media konkret. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan proses pembelajaran serta menganalisis peningkatan kemampuan mengenal lambang bilangan melalui penggunaan media balok Cuisenaire pada peserta didik disabilitas intelektual ringan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan desain spiral Kemmis dan McTaggart yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus, melibatkan empat peserta didik kelas II SLB Negeri Tebo. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, tes, dan dokumentasi, sedangkan analisis data dilakukan secara kualitatif dan kuantitatif menggunakan persentase pencapaian hasil belajar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan media balok Cuisenaire mampu meningkatkan kemampuan mengenal lambang bilangan secara bertahap dan konsisten, ditandai dengan peningkatan persentase hasil belajar pada setiap siklus hingga seluruh peserta didik mencapai Kriteria Ketuntasan Tujuan Pembelajaran (KKTP) ≥ 70%. Selain meningkatkan hasil belajar, media ini juga berdampak positif terhadap keterlibatan, fokus, dan motivasi belajar peserta didik selama proses pembelajaran. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan penggunaan media balok Cuisenaire sebagai alternatif media pembelajaran matematika yang efektif bagi peserta didik disabilitas intelektual ringan, khususnya pada materi bilangan dasar, serta perlunya penelitian lanjutan dengan subjek dan cakupan materi yang lebih luas.
