Peningkatan Akurasi Membaca Kata Berpola KVKV Melalui Metode Multisensori Berbasis Media Kontekstual pada Siswa dengan Hambatan Low Vision

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya akurasi membaca kata berpola konsonan-vokal-konsonan-vokal (KVKV) pada seorang siswa berinisial AR kelas II Sekolah Dasar Inklusi (SDI) dengan hambatan low vision. Penelitian ini bertujuan meningkatkan akurasi membaca kata berpola KVKV melalui metode multisensori berbasis media kontekstual yang disesuaikan dengan kebutuhan akses visual siswa. Penelitian menggunakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) model Kemmis dan McTaggart yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Tindakan menerapkan pendekatan Visual, Auditory, Kinesthetic, Tactile (VAKT) melalui kegiatan mengamati huruf dan kata berukuran besar dengan kontras tinggi, menyimak dan mengucapkan bunyi huruf, menelusuri huruf bertekstur, menyusun suku kata, serta membaca kata yang dekat dengan pengalaman siswa. Media yang digunakan meliputi kartu huruf bergambar, papan kata bertekstur, dan flashcard kata bergambar kontekstual. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes akurasi membaca dan observasi keterlaksanaan tindakan, kemudian dianalisis secara deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa akurasi membaca meningkat dari 40% (24/60) pada prasiklus menjadi 65% (39/60) pada Siklus I dan 85% (51/60) pada Siklus II. Pemahaman makna kata meningkat dari 20% menjadi 45% dan 70%, sedangkan proporsi kata yang dibaca benar secara mandiri meningkat dari 30% menjadi 50% dan 77%. Keterlaksanaan tindakan juga meningkat dari 86% menjadi 100%. Dengan demikian, metode multisensori berbasis media kontekstual efektif meningkatkan akurasi membaca kata berpola KVKV pada siswa dengan hambatan low vision.
